There is complete unanimity in the essence and fundamental nature of our doctrine that is nationally termed in Ethiopic as "Tewah'do". On our part, we believe that this doctrine, based on and originated from the prehistoric religious faith of Adam and Eve, is the ripe sweet fruit of the Holy Covenant that developed, to the eschatological stage of the Prophecies and the Law of the Old Testament and finally to that of Christianity of the New Testament.

Yes. Ge'ez is the first and original language that is referred to in Genesis 11/1 as "Now the whole earth had one language and one speech." This Divine Truth is authenticated by the following simple and unique characteristics of Ge'ez:

1. The inherent, literal and dual meaning of the word Ge'ez is "The First" and "The Free".

We have one and only one Senbet, that is, QEDAMIT SENBET, which even Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself observed by resting in His Tomb. We do not have two Senbets.

Ihud (Sunday) designated as "Senbete-Kristian", is simply the extension or the perpetuation of the one and same everlasting Senbet in which we are living even now through the first spiritual resurrection that continues to remain Senbet forever thereafter following the final resurrection.

1. The Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God, is none other than the Prophetic "Ethiopia" that "Stretches out Her Hands to God!" As such, She and Her Begotten Incarnate Son Jesus Himself are Ethiopians for ever. As a result and following suit, any human being who remains faithful to the Holy Covenant, is identified and referred to as an Ethiopian. According to Scriptures and the Ethiopian Tradition, the designation of "Ethiopia", from the time of Adam and Eve to this day, represents "the Children of God" characterized by righteousness, in contrast to "the Children of Men" typified by wickedness.

During Christening Ceremony, a Christian Name is given to the infant or to the person to be baptized who is instantly declared that the latter, as full-fledged Child of God, becomes an Amhara (meaning "Liberated Person among the Free Society Under God"), or a Christian and/or an Ethiopian. Such name could be suggested by parents or by the God Parents of the latter, or by the officiating priest.

Tabote-Tsion finally became Living Humans, i.e., the Ark (the Tabot) became the Person of the Holy Virgin Mary Mother of God, and the Tablets (the Ts'llat) became the Person of the Incarnate God Jesus Christ. We, Ethiopians need not and should not use the designation "Orthodox" or “Coptic”, to explain our "identity", because both are foreign words and entails a bad connotation. If we really need to use a word in order to identify who we are, our own designation of "TEWAH'DO" would suffice.

It is for each one of us, Ethiopians: To be faithful to our Ethiopianness of the Holy Covenant. That is the only way to overcome such spiritual dilemma that presently engulfed the whole leadership and membership of the Ethiopian Church. Such status provides the individual Ethiopian, the Divine Privileges of becoming himself the Living Ts'llat-Tabot, Altar, Sancuary and Church where the Holy Spirit dwells, thus rendering the physical presence and need of all those sacred objects, materials and edifices unnecessary.

At present, this is the service that Our God The Holy Spirit and Our Holy Mother Country Ethiopia expect from each one of us to render to their Kingdom, as well as our compatriots require of us. It is to bring ourselves first to the awareness and recognition of our Ethiopian Identity of the Holy Covenant, then to its attainment, and finally to serve Ethiopia: The Kingdom of God. Until there comes further call and notice for each one of us from The Holy Spirit what to do next, this is what we need to do.
